Presenters: Asian Arts Initiative, Grizzly Grizzly, Vox Populi
Meet at Asian Arts Initiative at 11:30AM for light refreshments before departing for this guided tour led by David Kyu, Neighborhood Programs Manager of Asian Arts Initiative, from 12-2PM. Join the art spaces of Callowhill/Chinatown North for a walking tour that will trace the proposed boundaries of recent Business Improvement District proposals. This walking tour invites participants to discuss audiences that are included and excluded by these boundaries, and consider how invisible boundaries shape the future of urban neighborhoods. The tour will conclude with a visit to the historic Rollins Building, 319 N 11th Street, which houses several artist-run galleries. Galleries in the building will have public open hours from 2-6PM to explore on your own. Participating galleries include: Grizzly Grizzly, Practice Gallery, and Vox Populi, among others.
Travel to Asian Arts Initiative is on your own, and is an organization accessible by public transit from much of the city.
