Pre-Convening Workshop, Resisting Systemic Oppressions: from our selves, our organizing and our field

Japanese American Cultural & Community Center

Common Field is committed to the work of challenging dominant discourses and structures that maintain systemic oppressions including: white supremacy, racism, misogyny, closed borders, the gender binary, and class violence. We know we must be relentless in this work and it must be practiced from the inside out, beginning with each of our selves, Common Field as an institution and then back into our membership networks and the many organizations and individuals that make up our field.

Satellite Dinners

Various Locations Around LA

Common Field is excited to announce our Satellite Dinner project—Los Angeles edition—on Friday, November 3, 2017 as a part of our Convening programming. We’re working with 20 organizations across the city to collaborate on this initiative—one that will bring arts organizers from across the country into network members’ spaces for a shared meal. Catch up with an old friend, meet someone new, or connect with an organizer whose work you’ve long admired in an intimate, unusual LA art space. You’ll receive your Satellite Dinner assignment details as part of your check-in package.
