Registration for online attendance is now closed. We will be accepting walk-up registration for in-person attendance through the end of the gathering. To register for onsite attendance only, please visit Eventbrite.

This hybrid gathering has been designed with an in-person focus on regional connections, with virtual opportunities for national exchange. Accessibility of travel and the on-going COVID-19 pandemic were central considerations in this planning, and, as such, in-person programs are designed to engage local and regional arts organizers who live within driving distance of Seattle's Central District (roughly mid-Oregon to Vancouver, BC from south to north, and the Olympic Peninsula to Idaho from east to west). Online programs, in turn, are meant to bring local and national voices together in conversation for a broader online audience. The virtual program on Zoom will include both participatory meetings and conversations, as well as live streamed programs broadcast directly from Washington Hall. Some of these participatory sessions will also be screened in real time on-site in Seattle.

Common Field is once again offering a self-selecting sliding scale ticket model for WHAT NOW?, with options to purchase tickets for onsite or online participation. All ticket levels provide attendees with full and equivalent access to WHAT NOW? programs, either onsite or online.

Sliding scale ticket prices range from $0-$30, with 100% of revenue from ticket sales directly supporting Seattle-based organizers and efforts. You are welcome to add-on additional support to these efforts when you register as well.

We have a select number of tickets available at each level and ask attendees to determine on their own how much they can spend. We invite attendees to join us for as many sessions and days of programming as they can throughout the weekend.

Evening events will take place at Wa Na Wari on Friday, Sep 30, and at Northwest Film Forum on Saturday, Oct 1. Admission to these events is free with an in-person ticket, but you must RSVP separately to these offsite events within the Eventbrite registration form in order to attend.

If you are unable to register at the level you prefer for any reason, please email us directly at programs [at] so we can assist you with registration.

Refund requests will be honored at any point through Sunday, Oct 2, 2022 by 6pm PDT. Refunds will be processed within 14 business days. If you submit an email request for a refund after Thursday, Sep 29 for any reason, we may not be able to respond or refund you until Monday, Oct 10 or after, following the event and post-event rest time for staff. Thank you.

Refunds will be administered through the Eventbrite platform: simply log in, go to “Tickets” in your account, select the WHAT NOW? ticket, and then click “Request a refund.” For more information, visit Eventbrite’s Help Center.
