Alumni Relations & Events Coordinator

Maine College of Art is currently seeking an experienced higher education professional to join its staff as the Alumni Relations & Events Coordinator. Primary Responsibilities

Create programming to establish and strengthen alumni relationships with the college.

Track and maintain current contact and career information of all alumni.

Develop opportunities for alumni for professional networking and career advancement.

Advocate for alumni presence and participation in College activities and policies.

Coordinate community and alumni events.

Specific Responsibilities

Create programming to establish and strengthen alumni relationships with the college.

Serve as first point of contact for all alumni communications

Responsible for organizing key alumni Events including: Alumni Biennial at the ICA, annual Alumni Print Session, Holiday Sale, Alumni Gatherings at MECA and off-site

Lead in the development of and coordination of the College’s Alumni Council

Responsible for maintenance and updating of alumni records in Raiser’s Edge database

Collect and develop content, write and edit alumni news for biannual College newsletter

Manage and update alumni section of the MECA website, including Exhibition Listings and Alumni Directory

Coordinate and oversee alumni initiated groups and projects such as the Metals Collective

Support Alumni Development as necessary

Administer commencement survey to all graduates

Monitor MECA’s alumni Facebook group and communicate key information as necessary.

Support other offices of the College by identifying and recruiting alumni for their programs, such as Admissions Open Houses, Parents Weekend, BFA catalog interviews and statistics

Create, develop, manage and communicate alumni benefits programs

Administer residency and grant opportunities for alumni


Salary range $37,000–$42,000; Health, Dental, Vacation/Sick Leave, Retirement Benefits
