Common Field

Due Jan 25 2019

Common Field's inaugural call for nominations for its Board of Directors is now open! The Board is a group of peers in the field of arts organizing who govern Common Field and provide vision, strategy, and financial oversight. This working group of members spends an average of five hours per month on team (committee) and Board work. As a still-emerging organization, the Common Field Board develops governance structures and continues to evolve to serve the mission of the organization.

The Common Field board aspires to include a diverse group of members of our field, representing multiple geographies, races and cultures, types of arts organizing practices, experience in the field, and skills and knowledge.

Nominate yourself or a colleague to be considered for service beginning at our convening in Philadelphia in April of 2019.

Board Members are expected to:

- Serve up to two two-year terms
- Participate in two in-person Board meetings and three online Board meetings per year
- Serve on at least one team and ad-hoc teams as needed
- Become a member of the Common Field Network
