virtual care lab: propose a gathering

virtual care lab is a variety of ‘experiments’ for cultivating connection and remote togetherness via weekly gatherings alternating Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings (operating on Pacific time).

Gatherings take the form of a workshop or guided activity, focused discussion, collective performance, or other format. They are held in an interactive online setting and encourage active group participation.

We are looking for proposals that make unconventional or creative use of remote communication technologies and foster connections between participants in novel ways. We aim to create new opportunities for joy, exploration, and invention, and discover meaningful ways to connect interpersonally through the screen.

We will provide hosts with facilitation guidance, promotion and outreach, and technology resources.

Hosts self-determine whether their gathering is free of charge or sliding scale donation, in which case they keep 80% of the revenues. Recognizing that we are working to find ways to build a sustainable project and platform, 10% will go to the organizers and 10% to NAVEL towards administrative costs.
