UNLV 2021 Department of Art Virtual Artist-In-Residence (VAIR)
Due Feb 7 2021

The Department of Art at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a one-time Virtual Artist-In-Residence for a 20-day engagement in 2021. The deadline to apply is February 7, 2021.

The Virtual Artist-In-Residence (VAIR) will empower a new generation of artists, designers, and art historians and connect UNLV with the local community. In Spring 2019, Amanda Browder, created a public art project that involved students, faculty, staff, and the local community. The 2021 Department of Art VAIR. will distribute a compassionate educational framework respectful of the Las Vegas community as a whole. The VAIR will provide an opportunity for our students and the community to co-author new work. The resulting project will promote an innovative model for being together in the world. During a term of twenty days this spring, the VAIR. will support diversity, equity, and inclusion as an online critic in the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), and Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) programs and engage with communities at UNLV and in Las Vegas at large.
