BLACK AND BROWN BIENNALE PRESENTS SOIL TONGUE: A SOUTHERN LANGUAGE

Black and Brown Biennale is pleased to present a virtual exhibition, Soil Tongue: a southern language, featuring the works of Junior Fernandez, Trécha Gay Jheneall , Brandon Tho Harris, Utē Petit, urges us to deepen and weave together our analysis of southern alterity: reflect upon our written and oral histories, our bodies, and their relationship to the littoral threads between southern land (nature) and the stewards that occupy it.

Please join us in critically & carefully engaging with diasporic histories and southern movements of solidarity and reflecting on their implications for our time with this virtual exhibition: Soil Tongue: a southern language.

Opening reception during ROOTS WEEK 2021, SOUTHERN SOIL: COLLECTIVE LIBERATION IN HARMONY WITH THE LAND, Friday, August 6th 2021 09:00 EST/08:00 CST
