Charlotte Street Foundation (CSF) is a not-for-profit arts organization that challenges, nurtures, and empowers artists of exceptional vision. Charlotte Street – with our community of artists – is a primary catalyst in making Kansas City a vibrant, creative metropolis, alive with collaboration, passion, ideas, and surprise.
CSF offers a range of programs including:
-Annual cash awards to five visual and performance-based artists
-Project grants to 10 artists through a partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Spencer Museum of Art
-Free studio, performance, and exhibition space to visual and performance-based artists and writers for the creation and presentation of new work
-A curator-in-residence program designed to engage an emerging national curator
-Educational and professional development opportunities for artists of all disciplines
-Advocacy, mentorship, and support for Kansas City area artists through a variety of other strategies and actions
A core value of the organization is a commitment to Kansas City’s evolving cultural landscape. Programs are created, developed and strengthened based on ongoing feedback from Kansas City area artists as well as national partners and advisors.
