Zoe Minikes

Zoe runs Flower Press, an equitable publishing practice centering women, femme, and queer artists and practitioners making books, zines, dreams, maps, magic, and more.

She's a member of Homeboat, a collective of artists, architects, and friends working to make the world ever more inclusive, kind, and playful through creative community engagement.

She has a background in design and writing, with deep practical experience in ethnographic research, cooking magical meals, and play. She ran a resource center focused on direct community action over dinner and has worked in Detroit to foster grassroots efforts relating to food, community resource, and writing, including Peace Meal Kitchen, Detroit Pop-up Alliance, Detroit Area Writers Network, the Detroit Kite Festival, and Bandhu Gardens.

She has had her work featured in the Cannes Film Festival and the New York Times. She was the first Epicenter Frontier Fellow and has recently completed residencies at The Sanctuary, Blue Sky Center, Ellipsis Open School, and Sou'wester Lodge.
