Philadelphia Contemporary is a non-profit platform presenting forward-thinking, high-quality contemporary visual and performance art. Philadelphia Contemporary started pop-up programming in October 2016 and is developing an ambitious program of projects in the coming years, as well as planning for a permanent home in a new building.
Philadelphia Contemporary will be an independent, free-standing, visual and performance art space: non-collecting, multidisciplinary, and focusing exclusively on contemporary art. Building on a collaborative, partnership-based approach, Philadelphia Contemporary will create and present exhibitions, performance-based, and spoken word projects, fostering dialogue between established and emerging artists across disciplines.
