Crystal Baxley is an artist, organizer, and writer living in Los Angeles.
Since 2010 she has worked on Open Engagement and as the Studio Manager for J & C Arts, the studio of Johanna Jackson and Chris Johanson. She has a background in development and writes grants for individual artists and arts non-profits.
Her practice is rooted in conversation and collaboration. Individual and collaborative projects such as Songs on Conceptual Art and Getting to Know You(Tube) have been featured at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Portland Insitute for Contemporary Art's Time-Based Art Festival, Henry Art Gallery in Seattle, The Hollywood Theatre, Kadist Foundation, Portland Art Museum, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Littman/White Gallery, Field Work, and RECESS.
