Womxn House

Portland, OR

Womxn House is a community for women, trans, and non-binary artists whose goal is to help individuals attain visibility and access to resources in their art practice by fostering collaboration, education, and support.

Inspired by Judy Chicago & Miriam Schapiro’s 1972 installation at CalArts, Womxn House was founded in Portland, OR in May 2018. We meet regularly in each others' living rooms and backyards, with the intention of growing our community and holding space for one another as both womxn and artists.
