Kelly Johnson

Kelly Johnson is a curator, writer, and arts administrator from Houston. She has served as the Volunteer Manager and Program Coordinator at the Rothko Chapel since 2016, and she is a Board Member of Houston's Center for Healing of Racism. Her creative projects seek connections between the body, environment, and spiritual experience. Kelly received her MFA in Curatorial Practice with a focus on spirituality and the body from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. Her writing has been featured in various exhibition catalogs, The Houston ReviewART PAPERSRecaps Magazine, and Bmore Art. She is engaged in work around racial justice, climate/environmental justice, womxn’s and queer identities, and mental health/mindfulness.
