Chayanne Marcano

Chayanne Marcano is an art worker, writer, and researcher of space, place, and the politics of belonging. As the Senior Coordinator of Public Programs & Community Engagement at The Studio Museum in Harlem, Chayanne ideates and produces programs that vary in scale with a focus on demystifying artistic and creative processes, and encouraging public engagement with contemporary art and artists. Programs include Culture in A Changing America Symposium (2019) at Park Avenue Armory; Storytelling Saturdays (2019), a series of interactive, artist-led sessions centering radical approaches to storytelling at Studio Museum 127, and Artists on Artists: Joy Out of Fire (2018), a program of in-gallery artist talks presented at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
