Kirsten Gill

Kirsten Mairead Gill is a doctoral student in the department of Art History at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, and has received a master’s degree in the History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research looks at postwar film and video, in particular as it touches on the radical political imaginary, questions of race, and experiments with collectivity.  She has worked at the ICA Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and has presented projects at Ulises, Space 1026, Little Berlin, Grizzly Grizzly, and Biquini Wax. In 2014, she founded the curatorial platform The Incubation Series in Philadelphia, which sought to provide an open framework for experimental collaborations between scholars and artists. In 2019-20, she is a Mellon Curatorial Fellow at the Dia Art Foundation.
