Jessica Borusky

Kansas City, MO

Jessica Borusky is a cultural organizer in the Middle of the Map, and works through curation, writing, artistic practice, and cultural administration. Their organizational and curatorial processes are strongly grounded in an educational philosophy: it is imperative to the social and political health of a community that diverse aesthetic and cultural practices are not only represented but are given spaces and resources to materialize, flourish and grow.

The invitation toward shared aesthetic dialogue through diverse programming and advocacy empowers a community to consider points of common social and political interest - points of commonality that might model new forms of collective life and activity.

Jessica is an advisor, mentor, educator, writer and organizer through: University of Missouri Kansas City, Number, Inc., University of Tulsa, Charlotte Street Foundation, Greenwood Art Project, and Shady Swans ArtSpace.
