I am part of an artist collective that celebrates different artistic disciplines through curated experiences hosted year-round in Houston and New York. The collective was formed in 2015 and is made up of children of immigrants, artists of color, musicians, independent and women business owners, and mental health professionals.

Our diverse backgrounds and experiences inform the productions we organize. Our goal is to promote creative expression, build community connections, facilitate cultural exchange, and further restorative healing. Our experience in the field thus far includes yearly art exhibitions, annual musical events, mural productions, and monthly pop-up dinners. We also organize women-centered co-working sessions and facilitate learning conversations on a quarterly basis. This expansive network of creatives live in Houston as well as several others that are from Texas and now live in New York. Regardless of location, we create innovative ways to collapse distance and create meaningful events in the places that matter the most to us.

As the lead organizer of the collective, I am interested in connecting with other artists that are working in multiple cities. My hope is that by meeting artists that do work in various cities we would be able to exchange learnings and best practices and have thoughtful dialogue about the intentional activation of communities and spaces.
