Kat Wentz

Akron, OH

Kat Wentz is a passion-driven arts administrator and project manager with a history of supporting artists, engaging stakeholders, and producing high-quality programming. She received her bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Bowling Green and her master’s degree in arts administration from The University of Akron. Kat is the Business & Community Relations Manager for NCCAkron, where she supports the Ideas in Motion program by organizing the program’s annual initiatives: 21st Century Dance Practices and the Community Commissioning Residency. Kat also works as Operations Manager for Curated Storefront supporting the organization in all aspects of operations, administration, and resource management. She supports organizational planning, marketing, implementation, and fundraising. Kat has an extensive background in working with the local arts community to produce cultural projects such as ArtsNow and Ohio Erie Canalway Coalition’s collaborative Park East mural, Summit Artspace’s Artist as an Entrepreneur, and Downtown Akron Partnership’s High Arts Festival (formerly Akron Art Prize). Her curatorial practice includes curating and organizing exhibitions for Hieronymus, The City of Akron’s Mayor’s office, Harris Stanton Gallery, and The BOX Gallery.
